I’m a person who is willing to take risks, learn new things, and explore new paths. In my early years growing up in the U.S., my father was in the Air Force. This meant we moved from place to place with regularity. I was forced to assimilate into the new surroundings and new schools, to find new friends, to learn the rules of the game over and over again. This experience has helped me understand what it means to be constantly faced with new situations and challenges.
I’ve also had some amazing professional experiences in my life – I went from working in film and television, to being a professional commercial photographer, then a professional journalist, and on to an MBA and a career in human resources. I bring all these experiences and my unique perspective to my coaching approach in helping clients try on new behaviors and believe in themselves.
I’ve always been fascinated with the strategies we can employ for successfully communicating and presenting ourselves. I enjoy helping non-native English-speaking professionals to improve their English language communication competence and learn to speak with confidence and present their ideas in ways that help accelerate their careers. It’s wonderful to work with people who are so committed to growing that they’re willing to take on the extra challenge by working in a language other than their mother tongue.
I’m an American currently living part time in Belgrade, Serbia, and part time outside of Atlanta, Georgia, in the US. I coach clients located in the US, Canada and Mexico, Europe and the UK, South America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. I’m certified by the International Coach Federation and my coach training includes the Hudson Institute and the Center for Executive Coaching in the United States. My undergraduate degree in Communications is from Georgia State University and my MBA is from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).
I’ve coached leaders from Amazon, Nestle, Hemofarm/Stada, Banca Intesa, Johnson & Johnson, Standard Chartered, Allianz Insurance, Philip Morris International, and many more. My industry experience as a coach includes energy/oil/gas, pharmaceuticals, financial services, insurance, retail, high tech and gaming, hotel/hospitality, “big five” management consulting, transportation, construction and heavy equipment manufacturing, the art/museum world, and many others.
I’ve spent more than 20 years working in leadership and organization development and change management, and my greatest sense of accomplishment has come from seeing people bring out strengths, talents, and capabilities from inside themselves to overcome obstacles and achieve amazing things. And it’s always been an honor to be a part of that process.
